China has several UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the Great Wall and Forbidden City in Beijing, Xian’s Terracotta Army, the Suzhou gardens and the peaks of Huangshan. Beijing's combination of antique and ultramodern monuments to cosmopolitan Shanghai's skyscrapers and art-deco legacy, are just part of the rich mixture that today’s China has to offer.
